TMC (Tretter Manufacturing Company) was founded by Dave Tretter and Jack Fetterolf to better serve Industry by providing high quality, fast deliveries, and unmatched repair service. Jack brings more than 40 years of experience in the industry, Dave with 30 years of experience in the industry.
Dave Tretter
After graduating from high school in 1984, Dave joined the United States Army where he served until 1989. While in the service Dave pursued technical training in the evening by attending Fayetteville Technical school where he received a degree in Welding Technologies. Dave is also a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). After leaving the United States Army, Dave attended WTTI (Welder Training & Testing Institute) where he completed a 1250-hour Welder / Pipe Fitter course before joining Fetterolf Corporation in 1990 as the Welding Manager and shortly thereafter becoming the Production Forman/Manager.
Jack Fetterolf
In 1972 Jack attended the Coast Guard Academy, graduating in 1976 with Bachelor of Science degree. From 1976 thru 1981 Jack served as Operations Officer, then Commanding Officer, and finished his time as Watch Officer for the Rescue Coordination Center in Hawaii. In 1981 Jack joined his father John Fetterolf Jr. at Fetterolf Corporation. The Fetterolf family founded Fetterolf Machine Company in 1939, later in the mid to late 1960’s John Fetterolf Jr. was one of the founders of Fetterolf Corporation. Jack worked closely with his father spending time in the shop as the production liaison with engineering, and sales departments and eventually becoming the Vice President of Manufacturing, 1991 thru 2003.
Fetterolf Corporation merged with SchuF in 2003. Dave and Jack departed and founded Tretter Manufacturing Company as an ASME certified pressure vessel fabricator. The company then transitioned back into the specialty valve market.
